CRIMSAFE

Crimsafe security products in Brisbane and surrounding areas

Crimsafe utilises a unique design that makes it superior to other security screens. Unlike any other security screen in Australia, with a Crimsafe security screen, the mesh is actually screwed into the metal frame with a patented device called the ‘Screw-Clamp™’. This is an important distinction because other security screen systems have mesh that is held in place with pressure or simple glue.

The Crimsafe difference

If you look at a Crimsafe security screen, you will notice that the mesh is sandwiched between two serrated pieces of aluminium that actually clamp down on the mesh. One piece is a strip of aluminium with a hook; the other is a frame with sections for the strip to hook into.

All three sections of a Crimsafe security screen are screwed together with stainless steel, tamper-resistant screws. The components are also separated with a Santoprene (rubber) bead that reduces electrolysis, preventing future corrosion.

Everything that goes into making a Crimsafe security screen is meant to keep the screen intact, even if someone were to try to kick it in.

Crimsafe security screen systems are internationally patented, which means only Crimsafe products feature screws that are driven through both the clamp and mesh and ultimately into the frame.

Crimsafe is long-lasting & durable

Crimsafe security screens easily pass the Australian Standard Dynamic Impact test. In fact, the screens withstand far greater pressures than the standard requires. When competitor screens are tested, they rarely reach even the standard, which proves that Crimsafe is the best security option on the market.

Research shows that the most common method of entry through security screens is a well-placed series of kicks that bust the screen apart. That will not work with Crimsafe. You can kick at Crimsafe Tensile-Tuff® security mesh repeatedly, but you are more likely to injure yourself than break through it.

Crimsafe security screens have passed numerous tests such as the Jemmy Test and the Knife Shear Test.

Heat entering your home from the outside is reduced by Crimsafe products. Independent studies show that Crimsafe can cut down on solar heat gain by up to 53%. Using a Crimsafe screen adds to the energy efficiency of your door or window.

Protect your home with Crimsafe

The holes in Crimsafe mesh are only slightly larger than the average flyscreen. The mesh effectively keeps out flies and mosquitos, and although it does not prevent sandflies and midges from entering, you only get about 20% of them.

Crimsafe mesh is available in black because black absorbs light and is non-reflective, which makes it easier for you to see outside. Colours reflect light, which could make looking at your new door or window screen uncomfortable.

The high durability powder coating that goes on Crimsafe's stainless steel mesh gives it a cool black look. It is also purposefully designed to protect the screen from the environment.

Crimsafe mesh is prepared using a high-grade pre-treatment. It is coated with a high-durability, commercial-grade, UV, fade-resistant black powder coating that ensures a longer product life. The anti-static powder coating actively works against build-up of airborne particles and makes cleaning the screen easier. Providing the underlying pre-treatment remains intact, Crimsafe mesh will not rust.

Crimsafe stands the test of time

To prove its worth, test samples of Crimsafe mesh were sent to undergo the Salt Spray Test. This industry standard measures corrosion resistance when exposed to accelerated weathering conditions. A salt solution is sprayed at the test samples for 1000 hours, simulating 10 years of environmental exposure. Crimsafe test samples endured the Salt Spray test for 3000 hours, simulating 30 years of environmental exposure.

Your Crimsafe product is custom-made in our factory in Bundamba and is fitted by specially trained employees.
